Submission to Health Canada Wind Turbine Noise and Health Study, 2012

Dear Sirs,

I am very concerned about the proliferation of wind turbines in Ontario and welcome this Health Canada Turbine Study. However, I do want to stress that this study, to have any value at all, must be independent, done by either CIHR or PHAC for example.

I am very aware of health problems caused by living close to wind turbine zones because I have talked to home owners just north of Orangeville and also just outside of Kincardine. The flicker effect and noise cause anxiety, stress, headaches, heart palpitations, increased blood pressure, sleep deprivation and depression, to name some. Many people have abandoned their homes (their biggest investment) in order to get away from the misery. This causes more emotional, mental and physical stress as well as financial problems and worries. This study is extremely important and must be well designed.

I think that a moratorium on wind turbines, both on and off-shore, is a must.
